Good to know

Retinol products are best introduced slowly. Start with a small amount a couple of nights a week and build up only if your skin stays comfortable. Apply to dry skin, use a plain moisturiser on the nights in between, and give it weeks rather than days.

Safety

For external use on skin only. Avoid the eye itself and the lip line, and do not apply to broken, sunburnt or irritated skin. Patch test 24 hours before full use. Retinol can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so use it at night and wear sun protection during the day. Do not combine it with strong exfoliating acids in the same routine without building up slowly. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your usual healthcare professional before using retinol products. Discontinue use if irritation occurs, and keep out of reach of children.
